Grants Announced for Randolph County and Piedmont


Governor Robert Bentley announces two grants totaling more than 1 hundred 22 thousand dollars for youth in Randolph County and the City of Piedmont. The grants will help start a biomedical and health-care science program in Piedmont and a Civic leadership Program in Randolph County. 70 thousand one hundred 90 dollars goes to Piedmont to help the system hire a health -care science teacher and additional equipment to start the program. 52 thousand 4 hundred dollars will help fund a program to develop civic leadership abilities in 20 students. The Governor says these program will help many East Alabama youth find a path to a bright productive future.
