Multiple Arrests in Cherokee County

Four people are in jail following a week’s worth of arrests by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says investigators arrested 51-year-old Jeffrey Jordan of Center on second degree arson charges. Jordan is accused of burning a residence in the Hebron community in late 2013. Also, three people were arrested in connection with a burglary and theft that took place in the Newberry Crossroads community. 44-year-old James Reynolds of Center was charged with third degree burglary and first degree theft of property. 39-year-old Kerren Sexton of Glencoe and 59-year-old Randy Daniel of Athens were also charged with third degree burglary. Jordan, Reynolds, Sexton and Daniel are being held in the Cherokee Detention Center.
