Christmas Caroling At the Jail

Who says you need sparkling snow, a one-horse sleigh, or even angelic voices to make caroling a success? Inmates at the Calhoun County Jail have discovered through the kindness of local carolers that the key to making caroling fun and meaningful is the joyful music and lots of holiday spirit. Sheriff Larry Amerson says the inmates that are in jail today will one day walk the streets of our local communities, and that it takes compassionate efforts like this one to change hearts, change minds, and even save souls. 500 inmates enjoyed the caroling festivities.
