Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Stemming from Theft

After tireless efforts by the Fort Payne Police Department Detective Division, and additional multiple law enforcement agencies, a man who was the focus of several investigations into illegal drug activity is finally captured. According to Fort Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum 37-year-old Jeromy Hughes of Fort Payne was arrested and charged with Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Second Degree Receiving Stolen Property stemming from an enclosed cargo trailer that was stolen from Wills Valley Community Church and First Degree Theft of Property resulting from a pickup truck stolen from Jackson County. Hughes is being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center.
