Recall: Mercedes-Benz, Daimler
Daimler and Mercedes-Benz have issued recalls on some 840-thousand cars and vans in the US because of Takata airbags that may be defective. More than 700-thousand Mercedes-Benz cars are being recalled along with 136-thousand Daimler Vans. Daimler says the recall is a precautionary measure. Replacing the airbags will cost the company about 380-million dollars. Mercedes and Daimler owners should be notified by the company if their vehicle is under recall.
