Friday, February 12, 2016

The Calhoun County Commission agrees to abate the county’s portion of taxes for an upcoming project for Tyco Fire and Building Products. Calhoun County Economic Development Council Executive Director Don Hopper says the 3.7-million-dollar investment is for renovations and adding additional equipment for the company. Hopper says the City of Anniston will consider a motion next week and then, if approved it will go to the state. Hopper says the investment is being made to make the region more efficient and more profitable.
