Legislation Passed to Prevent Anti-gun Fees
The Senate passes legislation to prevent local, anti-gun user fees. Senator Phil Williams of Rainbow City passes s bill which protects the right to purchase guns and ammo at fair market value. Today the Alabama Senate passed legislation by Williams that prevents local governments from implementing gun user fees and regulatory hurdles that are designed to make it harder for citizens to purchase guns and ammunition at fair market value. Senate Bill 135 also prohibits counties and municipalities from imposing additional restrictions on the issuance of gun permits other than those included in Alabama’s current legal code. The legislation now goes to the House of Representatives for consideration.
