Two people are in jail after Fort Payne Police Officers and the DeKalb County Drug Task Force find drugs outside a home. According to Fort Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum, Sonya Gonzalez and Anthony Brown were arrested and both charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. Gonzalez and Brown were at a home on 38th Street in Dekalb County when authorities uncovered drug paraphernalia inside the home and a bag of white crystal like substance which field tested for methamphetamine outside the home. They both denied any knowledge of the drugs found outside the home. Also at the residence were two small children. DHR was contacted on their behalf. Both subjects are currently being held awaiting bond.
