A Hokes Bluff woman is in jail on charges that she used drugs and gave a false identity to authorities. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says 24-year-old Hayley Gary is charged with one count of using false identity to obstruct justice, which is a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. Deputies went to a home on Pine Hill Place in Hokes Bluff in an attempt to serve Gary with two outstanding warrants for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gary was found hiding behind a chair inside the house. When asked her name, Gary gave the deputies a false identification. Gary is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $6,500 bond.
