A student suspect has been identified and questioned in connection to an internal security violation at Jacksonville State University. Because the person is a juvenile, the university is making no further comment. Other people are being questioned. The university is working with state and federal law enforcement officials to have the website removed and to seek prosecution of the offenders. JSU learned on Tuesday that a peripheral system with limited information was accessed on campus and placed online. According to officials, those impacted by this security violation include students who have been accepted for admission. They have no evidence that social security numbers, credit cards or any other banking information has been accessed.
