The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce hosts a workshop on Keeping Your Business Safe – a business disaster planning and cyber security session - at the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s Sentinel Drive location in Anniston. The event featured presentations from the local Calhoun County EMA and JSU’s own Cyber-security expert. Presenters say Emergency Management plays an important role in the success of the business. The information shared today will help prevent or reduce risks and help to identify threats and develop a program. Cyber-security experts in attendance say protection is very important in today’s technology driven society. Hackers can create viruses to wipe out any business’ system and retrieve information. Attendees were provided with check-lists, recommendations and resources to protect their business, employees, and customers.
