Two Arrested for Trafficking in Etowah County

Two people have been arrested in connection with trafficking in drugs in Etowah County. 35-year-old Xavier Gonzalez of Altoona and 24-year-old Kasey Robinson of Rainbow City are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. Gadsden Police found drug related items in a room at Comfort Inn and Suites. Agents found approximately 57 grams of methamphetamine along with more than one-thousand-dollars in cash in their possession. Also, Gonzalez had an outstanding felony warrant on him from Blount County related to prior drug charges. Gonzalez and Robinson were arrested and transported to the Etowah County Detention Center. Gonzalez remains there under a $75,000 cash bond and Robinson's bond was set at $50,000 . Further charges may be pending.
