Jacksonville State Honors Calhoun County Teachers

A Jacksonville State University awards program that is almost a half a century old and honors the classroom teachers of local public schools and teachers in the State of Alabama took place at JSU, today. Calhoun County Schools Executive Director Holly Box says the 2016 inductees and nominees into the JSU Teacher Hall of Fame and the Alabama Teacher of the Year were recognized. The selection committee chose two district level Teacher of the Year nominees. One from the elementary level and one from the secondary level. They also selected 3 Hall of Fame district winners from the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. White Plains Middle School teacher Angie Kelley is going onto the next round of regionals for the Teacher Hall of Fame for JSU.
