Glencoe to Vote on Sunday Alcohol Sales

The city of Glencoe is considering giving their constituents the opportunity to vote yea or nay on Sunday alcoholic beverage sales. According to Glencoe Mayor Charles C. Gilchrist the city of Gadsden approved sales first and he doesn’t want people leaving his city and going to a neighboring city with those much needed dollars. He says without the approval of Sunday sales it’s awfully hard to get and grow new business. Mayor Gilchrist says there is a service station quick stop only a-quarter of a mile from the city of Glencoe where people are already purchasing alcoholic beverages on Sunday.
