Couple Arrested for Selling Prescription Medications
A man and a woman from Centre are accused of selling prescription drugs. According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators arrested 76-year-old Norman Blankenship and 68-year-old Brenda Boyar for selling prescription medications. Blankenship was out on bond on charges dealing with prescription pills, and a judge recently revoked the bond and issued a warrant for his arrest. Blankenship is charged with 2 new counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and Boyar is charged with 1 count of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Blankenship and Boyar were both transported by deputies to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
