The cost of the memorial is $40,000; $25,000 for the building of the memorial and $14,000 for the black granite with the engraving. The men and women honored on the memorial will go back to the 1900s. According to officials, each time an officer falls in the line of duty; in 3 days from the funeral that person’s name will be engraved. The wall has been built to last for over 200 years. The memorial unveiling will take place on Law Enforcement Day, May 13th.
