Three Injured in Two Separate Accidents

Alabama State Troopers worked two accidents near Mentone in DeKalb County on Sunday. The first was a two-vehicle crash about four miles south of Mentone at around 2:45pm that involved a 2012 Chevrolet being driven by 28-year-old Alisha Reynolds from Huntsville and a 2006 Honda driven by 66-year-old Katherine Collings, who is a resident of DeKalb County. According to that accident report both drivers received non-life threatening injuries. The second accident took place at 7:45 that evening around two miles East of Mentone, and involved a 2013 Toyota being driven by 56-year-old Travis Smith of Fayetteville, Georgia. Smith was listed on the report as being injured but no additional information was available. Both accidents remain under investigation.
