Making the Most of Your Green Thumb

Spring has officially sprung. Now is the time to prepare your garden for the warmer weather… We have a few tips. Want to exercise your green thumb? Start by inspecting trees and bushes-even patches of lawn-for traces of old man winter. The next thing to do is to get ahead of weeds. Another tip is mulch. Mulch helps plants retain moisture, and will keep roots cool in the Summer. And make sure plant beds don’t have leaves and other debris. Prune your branches on perennials like rose bushes and get new plants in good soil. It’s also a good time to tune up irrigation systems and outdoor lighting for Springtime and Summer festivities.
