A St. Clair County man is indicted on three counts of receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography between 2014 and 2015. According to US Attorney Joyce White Vance 62-year-old Danny Oliver, Sr. was found guilty of multiple charges. Oliver was previously convicted of First Degree Sexual Abuse in the State of Alabama. The maximum penalty for receiving and distributing child pornography is 40 years and possessing child pornography is 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. According to the US Attorney’s Offices the case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
