Gadsden Man Charged With Distribution of Methamphetamine

A Gadsden man is charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of methamphetamine. According to the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit, Stephen Mayo has been arrested on multiple drug related charges. Mayo was believed to have been selling drugs out of a home on West Tuscaloosa Avenue. Agents went to the home and found a pistol and items used to package and distribute drugs. During the investigation Agents also interacted with another person from the home who was apprehended after a foot pursuit. Charges are expected to be filed on that person at a later date. Mayo also has a charge of certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $21,000.
