Gun Sales Increase

The National Shooting Sports Foundation says the gun industry added nearly 25,000 jobs in 2015, for a nationwide total of nearly 288,000 jobs. That’s an increase of nearly 10-percent from the year before in manufacturing and retail jobs for guns, ammunition and related supplies, like hunting gear. Officials say, sales are being driven by a desire for self-defense and concerns that more gun control legislation could make guns harder to acquire.
