Repairs To Pipeline in Cleburne County

A leak in a local pipeline causes concern in Cleburne County. A contractor notified Colonial Pipeline of a potential leak on Friday. The company promptly shut down both its gasoline and mainline in the area and confirmed the presence of gasoline. Work was confined to a remote, rural area of Cleburne County and officials report that there were no known safety threats to area residents or wildlife. A series of containment measures were deployed and officials used boom and underflow dams on a creek near the leak site to contain fuel and debris movement from the site. The site was re-opened on Sunday.
