Gadsden Man Arrested for Trafficking

A Gadsden man is arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine in Etowah County. Etowah County Drug Enforcement Agents received information that Richard Edmondson was delivering large amounts of methamphetamine in the Gadsden - Rainbow City area on a motorcycle. A Rainbow City Police Sergeant saw the motorcycle and stopped it on Hwy 77. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of nearly 104 grams of methamphetamine. Edmondson was arrested and transported to the Etowah County Detention Center. The bond on the trafficking charge was set at $75,000 cash. Edmondson is also currently facing a trafficking charge in Calhoun County.
