Virtual Herb Walk

Most of us have herbs and spices in our kitchen cabinet somewhere. And interestingly, there are many health benefits of herbs, not to mention they improve the taste of so many foods. Today, the Anniston Public Library shared a Virtual Herb Walk and helped to increase the knowledge of herbs amongst local community members. Many herbalists say, the problem is, most herbs have been sitting on a grocery store shelf for a long time, and they don’t have much nutritional value left. Lady of the Lake Herbals Owner and Founder Suzan Scholl recommends growing herbs yourself whenever possible. According to research, herbs have antibacterial and antiviral properties and many are high in B-vitamins and trace minerals. And, most herbs also contain more disease-fighting antioxidants than fruits and vegetables.
