An organization that provides safe shelter and supportive services to local victims of domestic and sexual violence holds a ribbon cutting and open house for a new sexual violence program office. 2ND Chance offers educational outreach to Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, Randolph, and Talladega Counties, creating awareness of and strengthening the movement to end domestic and sexual violence. Violence Program Director Trace Fleming says that now with their brand new location they can expand their activities. The agency provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, and a host of other services that apply to the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence. 2ND Chance was founded in 1988 and is a United Way Agency member.
