According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Deputies arrest Chelsie Taylor of Piedmont and Carissa Curvin of Jacksonville following a pursuit. A Deputy stopped to assist what appeared to be two stranded motorists on Thursday on County Road 20 in the Pollard’s Bend community. However, when the Deputy began speaking with Taylor and Curvin, Taylor hit the deputy with the car door, knocking him to the ground, and left the scene. The Deputy chased Taylor and Curvin into Etowah County and eventually back into Cherokee County, heading toward Centre. Centre Police officers quickly responded to the area and deployed stop sticks onto the roadway, which stopped their car. Taylor is charged with attempting to elude, first degree receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and a list of other charges. Curvin is charged with first degree receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and attempting to elude.
