Oxford Baseball Prepares For Second Round

The second round of the high school baseball playoff are just around the corner. TV-24 Sports caught up with the Oxford Yellow Jackets during batting practice Tuesday afternoon as they get set for a big time matchup against Homewood. The Jackets are 35-8 on the season and at one point had a 20-game winning streak. Now with just 16 teams left in the state, they’re looking to take another step towards their ultimate goal.

The way they will get there is using the same philosophy that has put them in the position they are in now. The Jackets don’t measure success game to game, they measure it pitch by pitch with the goal to win the most pitches in a game. Oxford vs. Homewood best-of-three series begins on Friday (game one and two) at 4:30 pm.
