Five Arrested on Drug Charges in Gaylesville

Five people are accused of being involved in various drug and weapon offenses in Gaylesville. According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, authorities made arrests in three separate incidences on Tuesday. Jason Watwood and Jamie Ray were arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. During a traffic stop, Cody Aycock and Valerie Johnson were arrested and charged with second degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators executed a search warrant at Aycock’s home and found additional amounts of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an illegal firearm. During the search, Chester Aycock was arrested and also charged. They are all being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
