Live Music Benefit& Silent Auction

Friday, May 6, 2016

A benefit organized by the group “Friends of Angie” will be put on tomorrow night to honor a cherished employee of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office who lost her battle with cancer last week. Administrative Assistant Lauren Keef says Angie Brown – who worked the front counter - always put others first and had a strong faith. During Brown’s fight with cancer her family was placed in a financial crisis. So…her friends and allies decided to put on an event to help.  The event will be a live music benefit and silent auction at the Alexandria High School Old Gym celebrating and remembering Brown who fought a brave fight. The event will take place from 5:30PM until 8:30PM.
Keef says the items were donated by the community and all the funds raised will be given to the Brown family.
