Track star Jazzmyn McLendon will get the opportunity to contue her career in college. The senior signed a track scholarship with Butler Community College in Kansas on Friday at the Anniston Meeting Center. McLendon is a two-time state champion in the 100 meter hurdles. She also holds the Calhoun County track title in the hurdles (100 meters) and finished third in the state in the 100 meter dash. McLendon ran track at Jacksonville High School, but earned her scholarship with her extra work with Fast Feet for the Elite Athlete which is an AAU track team headed up by Coach Sam Green.
This is the second consecutive year Fast Feet has had a collegiate signee. Courtney Willis also signed Butler in 2015 and was present at Friday’s ceremony.
Fast Feet is once again preparing for a busy summer of competition.
