The White Plains Volunteer Fire Department purchase new equipment.  Captain Bill McAdams says they purchased the right tools to do the job and to do the job safely. He says the equipment will be used to fully equip both the station near the high school and the North station with an engine and better means to move water and keep the volunteer firemen safe. 16 active members with full time jobs serve as volunteer firemen with the White Plains Volunteer Fire Department. McAdams says they will soon allocate funds for new thermal imaging cameras.
