Attalla Woman Charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child

An Attalla woman is in jail on charges that she took drugs while pregnant. Nicole Patton is charged with chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed. Investigators say Patton admitted to using methamphetamine and smoking marijuana. She is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. Upon release, Patton will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections and must successfully complete a treatment program.
