JSU Reorganization

Jacksonville State University is reorganizing its academic structure. JSU President, Dr. John Beehler announced the changes yesterday saying that the new structure will be more manageable, marketable and poised for growth. The plan will split the four colleges within the university into six schools. A dean will lead each school and oversee the faculty, operations and budget of their division. The move makes all six schools similar in size, and ensures that the disciplines within each school logically fit together. The six new schools within the University will be: Arts & Humanities, Business & Industry, Education, Health Professions & Wellness, Human Services & Social Sciences, and Science. The changes are set to take effect on August 1st.
