Suspended AL Chief Justice Wants Charges Dismissed

Alabama's suspended Chief Justice wants a Judiciary Committee to dismiss charges that he's facing. Roy Moore is accused of violating Judicial Ethics by issuing an order to continue banning same-sex marriage in Alabama. That order came after a Supreme Court ruling last year-essentially making gay marriage legal nationwide. The Liberty Counsel has filed a motion on Moore's behalf, asking for the Judiciary Committee to drop the complaint. The counsel calls the charges "baseless."
