A new study says what's good for the body - is good for the mind. According to researchers if you're looking to keep your memory sharp -- head for the gym. According to the University of British Columbia there are a lot of good reasons to be physically active… Protecting memory and thinking skills can now be added to that list. Researchers found regular aerobic workouts boosts the size of the area of the brain involved with verbal memory and learning. It also stimulates the release of growth factors and chemicals that make that part of your brain healthier and sharper. Need one more reason to hit the gym? According to the World Health Organization, almost 8,000,000 new cases of dementia are diagnosed each year...That’s another great reason to stay active.
