Rainbow Omega residents are honored for their excellent work. Since production started in 2001 at the Honda plant in Lincoln, Rainbow Omega residents in Eastaboga have assembled owner’s manuals for every vehicle to roll off the line. Today, they received the National “Excellence in Delivery Award” from Honda. The award ceremony included Alabama Commissioner of Mental Health Jim Perdue, local elected officials, and Alabama Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey. Honda's Purchasing Division Manager Michael Gaines says he is excited to give the Honda Supplier Award to Rainbow Omega. Rainbow Omega Founding Board Member and CEO Stentson Carpenter says today was a big day for their work center. He says the products that his residents put together are top of the line. Resident Kathleen Tuhy says she enjoys her work for many reasons and feels happy today. The workshop is certified by the Department of Labor and has a workforce of approximately 70 people and 11 job coaches and quality control coordinators. On average, they assemble 1,500 packets per day.
