Piedmont Man Charged in Recent Burglary

A Piedmont man is arrested in connection to a recent burglary. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says, Matthew Green was arrested on Sunday and is charged with one count of third degree receiving stolen property. Investigators say, Green was in possession of a safe and driver’s license that had been stolen from a residence on Bachelors Chapel Road in Hokes Bluff. Deputies found Green passed out, in a car, under the influence of narcotics on Whites Chapel Road. They discovered the stolen items while searching the car. Green is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $1,500 bond.
