Theft Charges for Gadsden Couple

Authorities arrest a Gadsden couple in connection to a recent theft. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says Justin Hayes was arrested and charged with one count of first degree theft of property and Amanda Hayes was arrested and charged with one count of receiving stolen property.  Investigators say Justin Hayes admitted to stealing three rings and one bracelet from a residence on McCarver Drive in Gadsden, while working for a pest control company. Amanda Hayes admitted she was given one of the rings where she pawned it at a local shop. Two rings have been recovered; the third ring and bracelet have not. Justin Hayes was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center with a $5,000 bond. Amanda Hayes was booked in with a $1,000 bond. Both have since been released.
