An update on the fire that damaged a building on Auburn University's main campus. The Alabama Fire Marshal's office says an electrical issue likely caused the fire at Lowder Hall Monday morning. Investigators believe the fire originated from a light and ballast on the first floor of the building. Auburn University officials say the flames damaged multiple classrooms, but the building's core structure remains intact. However, as a precaution, the building remains closed. Several classes and offices in Lowder Hall moved to another building for the remainder of the summer semester.
