Corrections Officer Charged Over Contraband

An Alabama Department of Corrections officer tries to smuggle contraband into a state prison. According to Alabama Department of Corrections Public Information Officer Bob Horton, Deandre Price is charged with possession of a controlled substance and promoting contraband within a state correctional facility. Price was found with illegal drugs and other contraband when he arrived to work. Horton says Price, who had been employed as a correctional officer for less than two months, resigned after his arrest. He was later transported to the St. Clair County Jail where he was booked.
