Gadsden Man Charged with Possession

A Gadsden man throws a bag of heroin out of his vehicle after an Etowah County Sheriff’s Deputy stops him for an equipment violation. Michael Fikes has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. On July 7TH, an Etowah County Sheriff's Deputy stopped Fike’s vehicle on Hwy 411 near Whites Chapel. Before the car came to a stop, the Deputy saw Fikes throw a bag out of the window. The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit was notified. Fikes was arrested and transported to the Etowah County Detention Center. His bond is set at $1500.
