A $5,000 reward is being offered for information about the burglary of a Gadsden gun store. Police say Coffey’s Hunting and Shooting at 22 Hoke Street was broken into on Friday and an unknown number of weapons were taken. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are working with the store’s owners to take an inventory and determine how many firearms were stolen. Meanwhile, the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are each offering $2,500 for information about the crime. The combined reward is part of a nationwide program in which the foundation matches ATF’s rewards when guns are stolen from a federally licensed firearms dealer.
