Oxford Counselor Recognized as Counselor of the Year

A local high school counselor is recognized for making extraordinary contributions to the field of Career Guidance. Grady Lacher was awarded the Alabama Association for Career and Technical Education Counselor of the Year. He has taught at Oxford High School for 22 years and served as a counselor for eight years. Lacher was also awarded the Health Sciences Division Counselor Award in the Spring. He was nominated by two fellow teachers – Lindsey Webb and Amy McCorkle. The Alabama Association for Career and Technical Education awards ceremony took place at the state conference which was held at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.
