Two Arrested on Trafficking Charges

The Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit arrest two men for drug related charges related to trafficking in methamphetamine. Mitchell Buel of Gadsden, and Matthew Green of Piedmont have been charged with trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities seized approximately 43 grams of methamphetamine, a bag of marijuana, several suboxone strips, a glass pipe with residue, and two handguns from a car occupied by Buel and Green. Buel's bond was set $50,000 cash. At the time of the arrest, he was out on bond on previous drug and gun related charges. Green's bond was set at $50,000.
