Chief Deputy Completes Homeland Security Academy

Etowah County Chief Deputy Michael Barton recently completed the Homeland Security Leadership Academy. It was conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers in Glynco, Georgia. Barton took part in the training along with executives from more than 20 law enforcement agencies. The academy is a two-week professional development and leadership training program designed for law enforcement executives. It is a collaboration between Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the National Sheriffs' Association.
