After alligator sightings at Hillabee Reservoir, the Anniston Water Works and Sewer Board decides to post warning signs. And, according to officials, the US Fish and Wildlife Service has removed a gator. The reservoir is back open for fishing with a current permit and there are a few new rules and advisories. Those with permits to fish have to acknowledge that they will be fishing in areas where dangerous wildlife lives, including snakes and alligators. The board says that people fishing in these areas are responsible for their own safety and that of others with them, particularly persons under the age of sixteen.
