Three Charged with Burglary in Cherokee County

Cherokee County Investigators arrest three people charged with burglary and theft. Sheriff Jeff Shaver says, Cody Brown and Jessica Mathely were charged with six counts of third degree burglary and first degree theft of property. The third person, Jason Farmer was charged with first degree property theft. Brown, Mathely, and Farmer are all from Piedmont. Investigators say the burglary took place on Wednesday on Highway 278. Authorities were able to recover a majority of the stolen property. The arrests took place after a business was burglarized. Brown, Mathely, and Farmer remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting bond.
