Cherokee County Students to Help Flood Victims

Teachers and students with the Cherokee County Career and Tech Center, are collecting items for flood victims in Louisiana. According to Tech School Principal Brett Keasler the greatest need is for bottled water and cleaning supplies. Examples of needed cleaning supplies include – mops, buckets, sponges, bleach, disinfecting spray and so on. All donations can be dropped off at the school at 600 Bay Springs Road in Centre weekdays, with the deadline being 3:00pm next Tuesday. Staff members will then transport all the donations to Gadsden where they will be placed on a truck headed to Louisiana.
