Business Spotlight: The Music Box

Research has proven that beyond the fundamental value of music to cultures worldwide, education in music and the arts has benefits for people that go beyond the musical territory. One local business is determined to equip its students with foundational abilities in all things music, the arts, education, entertainment, and community service. The Music Box at Jacksonville Square currently teaches people from ages three to adulthood that lifelong success includes an appreciation of family and education in and through music and the arts. Husband and wife team Steven Ellison and Jean Ellison opened the new school of music in 2015 and have continued to inspire their students to learn, achieve, and aspire in music. They both have undergraduate degrees in music education and Masters in music. The Ellison’s use their passions and craft to fill the void they believe exists in the community. They add that their facility's main emphasis is on instruction. The Ellison’s say The Music Box students find personal fulfillment while developing their identity, creativity, intellect, social connections, work ethic, and craftsmanship. They add the Jacksonville Square location has been quite the success. So, they are expanding into a second location that is coming soon. The Music Box is working on a holiday musical – "The Best Christmas Musical Ever." If you are interested in learning more about the new school of music contact them by email or visit them at Jacksonville Square Monday through Friday from 3PM until 7PM.
