Two separate wrecks kill two people in St. Clair County over the weekend. One of the crashes happened at about 4:00 Saturday morning. State Troopers say Joseph Wilson’s car overturned on Highway 144 in Ragland. Wilson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation shows speed played a role in this deadly crash. And, just hours earlier, a four-vehicle crash killed a Pell City man. According to State Troopers, Christopher Masters’ Jeep struck a car on Interstate 20 West, east of Pell City. Masters was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Jeep. The coroner pronounced him dead at the scene. Another car and an 18-wheeler also wrecked due to the crash, but no other injuries were reported.
